"Cooperation Networks for ICH"

ICHCAP establishes networks among communities, groups, and individuals to enhance ICH transmission and dissemination and strengthens cooperative networks among government organizations, research institutes, and NGOs at the regional and international levels for exchanging ICH-related information and knowledge.

Sub-regional Network Meetings in the Asia-Pacific Region
  • Sub-regional network meetings allow participants to identify current issues for ICH safeguarding, discuss how to collaborate while searching for solutions, build cooperative measures and ICH safeguarding strategies within the framework of information and networking, and seek practical ways in which the sub-regional Member States might collaborate with ICHCAP.

      • 2012: Information and Networking Meeting for ICH Safeguarding in South-East Asia: Issues and Collaboration Measures (Indonesia)
Asia-Pacific ICH Expert Networking Programmes
  • The ICH expert networking programmes strengthen cooperation among participants, allowing them to build networks by sharing ICH information and experiences.
    • 2011: ICH Expert Networking Meeting in the Asia-Pacific Region: Participation from fifteen countries in the Asia-Pacific region (Jeju, Korea)
    • 2012: ICH Expert Networking Symposium: Participation from twelve countries in the Asia-Pacific Region (Andong, Korea)
    • 2013: International Expert Meeting <Silk Road and Intangible Heritage>: ICH experts participated from nine countries in Central Asia (Jinju, Korea)

  • ICHCAP organizes international conferences to discuss ICH safeguarding issues and tasks; build networks in the national, regional, and international levels; and to seek collaborative measures for ICH safeguarding.
